Solo - a Star Wars story teaser trailer

(1/3) > >>

Chris B:
Thoughts anyone?
I have low expectations on this one after Rogue One which I think will be difficult to top.  Some of the images in the trailer looked good and the brand, spankin new Falcon was cool, but I'm only cautiously optimistic at this point.  :D

Lex:
I haven't seen it yet. I'll have to check it out on YouTube today. I'm glad to hear someone liked Rogue One! I think there's a good chance it will end up being the only Star Wars movie I only see once. ;) I don't think it was bad, per se, but I didn't terribly enjoy it either and wouldn't want to sit through it again. I have high hopes for Solo, though. There's really no excuse for this movie not to be awesome.

Chris B:
Don't get me wrong, I had some serious issues with Rogue One  not the least of which was trying to shoehorn in too much to connect with Episode IV.  CGI Leia was a bit too much.  I think they could have ended that part with her saying what she said with her back turned to the screen - everyone would have gotten the point and most would be less creeped out. :)
There were also a few other things like AT-ATs on mushy sand as the Empire's main defense of a comm outpost (but the images were stunning), but for the most part I enjoyed it.

DarkDavey:
While RO had a couple issues, I absolutely loved it. In fact I saw it 6 times in the theater. It's probably my second favorite  Sw Movie out of all of them, and yes I enjoyed the prequels.

Solo looks great so far. I just hope they don't go to far away from the (legends) origin story. I expect some new twists but let's not go crazy.

Loved see Lando in that teaser.

Lex:
Okay, saw the trailer finally, and I gotta say I'm a bit underwhelmed. Honestly, if it wasn't Star Wars, and if it didn't have space ships, I don't know that I'd even be interested in this movie right now. But it was the first teaser, so there's still hope! I didn't think Wonder Woman looked at all promising until the third trailer, and I really enjoyed that movie.

I really don't think there's any excuse for a movie about the early days of Han Solo to be anything but awesome. I really hope we get the scene where he wins the Falcon from Lando in a Sabbac game. :D
